Hold at least 50,000 $PET to hatch. Every wallet has its own pet. Same address, same pet, always. Colours, ears, eyes and style come from the address.
Hold to grow
Egg to Legend in 15 minutes: 1:15, 2:30, 4:30, then 6:45 per step. Every click when petting takes 1 second off the wait, except while your pet is slowed. Sharing a pet's card takes 30 seconds off, once per pet: you pick the stage.
Fees are food
80% of the trading fees go into one shared pool for holders, paid out every 2 minutes. Your share grows with your balance, a holder bonus (up to 1.5x for 5M+ $PET) and your fee multiplier, which rises from 1x (first pet's Egg) to 7x (fifth pet's Legend). It all adds up until you claim it. Claiming makes your growing pet grow 25% slower for a while. It never costs levels.
Burn to hatch more
Once your newest pet is a Legend, burn $PET to hatch the next egg, up to 5 pets. Each new pet raises your fee multiplier but takes 10% longer to grow. It costs 25,000 $PET, then 25,000 more for each pet after that.
